Our client, a dynamic and respected company in the FMCG sector, is seeking an Export Development Director Central Asia to manage and expand export activities across the region, with a primary focus on strengthening their presence in Azerbaijan and neighboring markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead significant growth initiatives in a high-potential area.

Export Development Director Central Asia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee regional operations, prioritizing growth in the Azerbaijani market;
  • Develop and implement strategies for existing brands and new market entries;
  • Build and expand a network of importers while maintaining long-term relationships with key partners and customers;
  • Collaborate with local partners to ensure effective distribution, product visibility at points of sale, and competitive pricing in both HoReCa and retail channels;
  • Monitor market dynamics, including product portfolios, pricing, and distribution channels, and recommend actions to seize emerging opportunities;
  • Guide the development and execution of ATL and BTL communication strategies to improve brand awareness and positioning.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales within the FMCG;
  • Strong network in the distribution industry, preferably with leading retail partners;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Central Asian market, including Azerbaijan, in both HoReCa and retail segments;
  • Ability to build productive relationships with distributors and enhance their performance;
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and adapting to local market conditions;
  • Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills;
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian or regional languages is an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
