Responsibilities

As a Safety Assistant, you will:

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., DOT, FMCSA).
• DQ files
• Update and maintain safety compliance files
• Internal recordkeeping
• Permit renewals
• Conduct routine audits of driver logs, vehicle inspections, and safety records.
• Coordinate safety training sessions and programs for drivers and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and provide timely reports.
• Support accident investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Communicate safety policies and updates to drivers and team members effectively.
• Assist with updating and maintaining safety-related documentation.
