Pedersen & Partners opened an office in Moldova in 2007, where, in addition to performing executive search, the firm established HelpDesk internal function in order to support company’s employees around the world with IT issues.

We are now focusing our efforts on strengthening our IT team and therefore announce opening of the position of a Junior IT Helpdesk Operator based in Chisinau or Balti.

Responsibilities

• Helpdesk tasks - level 1.
• Install/configure new computers.
• Give initial training to new joiners according to our procedures.
• Maintain the existing network infrastructure in the office under senior IT supervision.
• Create meaningful activity reports for day-to-day operation.
• Create relevant documentation and HowTo guides.

Profile

• University degree, preferably in IT/technical domains.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English & Romanian.
• Pro-active, result-oriented person with a high level of reliability.
• Willing to go extra mile to ensure users’ satisfaction.
• Eager to learn.
• Analytical mind.

 Technical skills:

• Windows OS, macOS (proficient at advanced-user level).
• Microsoft Office suite advanced knowledge.
• HCL Notes/Domino knowledge is a plus and will be considered a valuable point for the hiring process.
• Basic networking and wireless knowledge.
• Able to troubleshoot software/hardware/networking problems.
• Windows Server/Linux OS knowledge is a plus (troubleshooting basic AD services, DNS, DHCP, etc).
